Episode 37: A Conversation with Melogia

Mostly English. For this episode I had the opportunity to travel to Brooklyn and meet up wtih Patricia "Melogia" to have a fun and friendly conversation. Melogia is a talented singer and musician from Puerto Rico who came to the NYC/PA area in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. We were joined by Jonathan who is a Berklee College of Music graduate, as is Patricia, and talked about being a working musician, about gentrification and colonization, high rents and even cockroaches.

To end this rendezvousfor the napita musical, Melogia gifted us with her voice and guitar and sang Calma, a song she composed shortly after the passing of Hurricane Maria thru Puerto Rico.

Intensity mixed with fire, enthusiasm combined with artistic expression, forward thinking yet historically dramatic... A doer, an idea maker, a talker and thinker... always needing to do more movement, to make more music and to live with inspiration.
